Sometimes, I think that the words 'humanity' and 'civilisation' are just satirical terms for the miserable virus that the human race has become. That's why I don't like watching TV, reading commercial papers, or listening to commercial radio. It's all a bunch of PR, propaganda, consumerist bullshit that tells us what we should look like, what we should do, who we should talk to, when we should talk, where we should live, eat, breathe sleep love hate vote buy spend act not act

Peer pressure at its best, is not in the world we live in today. It is the world we live in today.

There is little time left for people to decide what is best for themselves, let alone time to work out what is best for the planet. Everything is faster and more efficient, fast cars, fast food, fast production, fast track, fast communication, and if we don't get it fast, then we are told there is something wrong, and it's their fault, not ours.

Why?

Money. Power. Money.

If I have to live in this world, with fast and pressured everything, then I want to at least take time out to see how I can help those that suffer as a result.

Can you imagine being stuck through eight different places in your body - thigh, arm, groin, ribcage, kidney, calf, hand and foot - and pulled along until you died? They stopped people doing that to other people many years ago. Made it illegal. Said it was against their rights. And it stuck. Because, - and well, here's  the brutal, truthful reason why - there just wasn't enough money to be made in killing off people in this way. It simply wasn't financially viable to break that law.

And what would you say, on the other end of the hooks? I didn't do anything? I'm innocent? Why are you hurting me - I was just sunbathing in my back yard?

If they could make enough cash out of your bloody, dusty, perforated hide, do you think they would give a shit? You're sorely mistaken if you do.

I don't go in for advertising other peoples' bandwagons very much, but this is something that kills a small piece of my spirit every time it's brought to light, and shreds just a little more of the hope that I hold out for our rapidly-breeding, land-infesting, indescriminately destructive kind. That would be homo sapiens, in general, for all you petty nit-pickers.

Read it up. In short they are trying to get  a million signatures in a petition to stop people from skewering and dragging these creatures - innocent, remember? Just sunbathing in their own back yard - to their painful, drowning death.

Money can be a very powerful thing in this world. I think Resolve is the only thing that can prevail over its influence in this world.
