Okay, this is classic! As if the Americans didn't abuse the system enough, the French have taken this concept to new heights. There is a French transport company which has sued a group of women for creating their own lift club, claiming it has cost them £1.4m.
You see, this is all that is wrong with a legal system. Any legal system. Pick one. The more rights people have, and the more seriously individuals are taken by the state, the more they abuse this kind of protection. So what does this say for a theory towrds a liberated, democratic society? Well, not much, except for an exceptionally bad testimony to the character of Humanity in general. Yup! Give 'em an inch, and they'll take your goddamned whole arm!
I hope the owners of this company, Transports Schiocchet Excursions, has the grace to feel embarrassed when facing its own employees. No doubt some of them use cars, as well.
